Hiking route:  Matsuwa Bus Stop 松輪バス停 -> Tsurugizaki 剱崎 -> Nusuttogari 盗人狩 -> Miyagawa Port 宮川港 -> Misaki Port 三崎港.

A very warm and sunny day in the middle of autumn, perfect for strolling around and gazing at rocks. Too bad there were barely any clouds; the harsh sunlight nearly destroyed my sunscreen-less skin and made it very difficult to take any decent-looking pictures. Before taking a bus to the trailhead, we spent a bit of time at Miura Beach, my first time to a beach in years. We didn't do much though, basically just people-watching and dawdling in the sand, feeling the wind and smelling the sea, and trying to take in the vast, unobstructed view of nature that's hard to find in the city.

The trail itself was just kind of ok. A small section was blocked and we had to take a detour onto some farms and paved roads. Certain parts were littered with trash that seemed to have washed ashore from the ocean. There were definitely some cool-looking rocks, as you can see in the pictures. We also saw a lot of people camping and fishing, which honestly seemed like more appropriate activities in this area than walking around like we were. We ended our hike at a small seafood restaurant called Sakuraya さくらや near Misaki Port, where I got myself a tuna bowl. It was not a bad trip all things considered.
